Hello Guys, I am looking for the sparkplug gap for the 24hp Honda engine (GX620 V Twin) as I cannot find the manual anywhere. I bought this about 4 years ago and it is time to change out the spark plugs as it is running funny.

I am also looking for a part number for the air cleaner also if anyone knows this number and where you usually get them as the local places do not have a clue.

Thanks.

I'll have both for you tomorrow. I have the air filters in stock. Be sure to put NGK plugs back in that Honda.

I found the spark plugs and was told that the gap should be .028 to .031 so I will gap them at .030

Here are some of the pictures of the air filter, the measurements are 1 1/4" thick x 6 1/2" wide x 8 3/4" long.

The air cleaner cover has 4 of the metal latches that hold the plastic cover in place as seen in the pictures.

Thanks for the info Russ.

Should have the paper element and a foam prefilter too. I'll look up a price tomorrow and let you know.

There is a thin foam pre-filter there.

Thanks Russ!

I changed out the spark plugs but the engine will not start but it does start with starter fluid.

There is no gas in the fuel filter. I pulled the gas line off the fuel filter and put my finger in the filter and checked for suction when the engine was cranking over and there was no suction so I am guessing that the fuel pump is bad?

Here are some pictures but the pump is hard to see.

Thanks Russ.

Russ, that fuel pump is in a tight place, how do you get them out to replace it?

Thanks.

You need to hook the filter back up and remove the line going to the carb to check the fuel pump. If the float bowl is full, the pump won't create suction. As you turn the key to the on position, can you hear a click coming from the carb area? It has a solenoid on it, and the solenoid must open (the click) when the key is on.

The fan cover has to come off. Then you'll find the bracket and bolts that hold it on.

Thanks for the call and your help Russ!

It was not affected that much actually, they did not have trucks to wash at either place but I need this machine running to try it out.

Got a larger fuel tank for the portable 8gpm machine, 15 gallons should last the whole day without re-fueling, not bad for $100.00 new in the box while it is on sale. Now to mount it in the trailer so it is secure and tie into the fuel line to the 8gpm machine. The 6 gallon fuel tank is hard to fill up where it is located but that was the only place I could put it when I added that machine to the trailer.

Now I have to get that machine running to try it out on the fleet and see how it works, sure will be faster than the older 5.6gpm machine.
