Sold 3 decks on one visit

I went to evaluate a deck and quote a customer a price on deck restoration. 140 SF, no steps with 4 posts holding it up. also, no benches, so its a perfect rectangle.

I gace this guy the entire pitch on the steps, quality products, our company history with photos and he looked at me straight and said "Thats a bunch of money. I am used to only paying $300" I told him that everything is increasing in price as well for us contractors and asked why was he getting his deck restored again so soon(6 months later)

After we discovered why you should not hire a underqualified contractor on price alone(His deck played a good visual) we talked about multiple decks and getting a package price.

He and his friends signed a contract for $975 per deck. All 3 are next to each other, so its going to be a 2 day gig to complete.

I kung-fu's him with some Phil Rea isms and they made him think. I owe this sall to Phil and just one webinar I listened on the other day. So far after doing so my sales have risen to signing 6 of the last 9 jobs since and I have a Taco Bell to demo next week.

Pretty good stuff huh?

I spoke to him and said it was refreshing to hear a Southern guy like myself go against the grain and not be stuck only selling cars in Texas lol!!!:rotflmao1:
