That Roof Cleaning job looks great Nick.

Keep up the good work over there.

Roof looks great Nick, thank you for the advice last week on the indoor restaurant cleaning, it came out good, no pics sorry , thanks again.

Glad it worked out for you!!

Looks great! I have been on many shingle roofs but never walked on a tile one. Is there any special precautions for walking on a tile roof as I am bidding on a barrel tile roof cleaning job next Monday. It looks like my 205 pounds could crack a tile by standing on it. Sorry for the newbie question. Thanks.

I dont go up on them anymore, but if you walk in the valley of the tile you will be fine.

A few other factors to consider when trying to Clean a Tile Roof by walking them is the age of the Roofing Tiles, and the Type of Tiles. Older Duntex natural Concrete Tiles tend to be very brittle especially if they have been neglected. Tiles that have been baking in the sun with extensive Black Mold and Algae will weaken over time and actually crack on their own. Flat Tile Roofs are a prime example of this and tend to be extremely fragile. Many of the newer slurry coated Tiles with coloring baked into them are much stronger and can withstand a lot more weight but please Be very careful if you are not used to walking on them. Tile Roofs of any kind can and do become very slippery once they become wet. IMO if your not used dealing with them then find someone who is or try to shoot it from the Roof line.

As far as I know, it is safe to walk on the valleys and the hips of the tile roof. Also if you need to step on the tiles, try to walk on the concave part of them. If you spray it from the ladder, wear goggles. I recently sprayed a roof from the ladder and a sudden breeze bleached my face :)).

Thanks for the pictures, the terms are good to know.
