This duct is made out of roofing, the stuff you see on old barns, and hundreds of sheet metal screws. take a look

Here is the outside of it. The funny thing is this duct hold’s the grease better than the so-called watertight ducts, I could not find a grease drip anywhere. Maybe they doubled up on the material.

It's kind of hard to tell, but how much distance is there between the top of the duct work and the roofing material?

the duct is e few feet from the roof
