So, When Is It Time, To Say Its Time????????

Last week at my benny job, a situation happend to which I was called into managements office and had my butt chewed. Now there was no way I could have stopped or prevented the situation from happening, and was not responceable for the area in which it happend, and was dressed down nun the less.

In 11years with the same company, this has never happend. I've never been written up or anything of the like, yet was treated with total disrespect. So Now I'm thinking, Is It Time.

In my Business Plan, it says that after 5 yrs I should have the equipment and knowledge to leave my job and go Full Time, so far I'm 2yrs ahead of seclude. All of my equipment is paid for, I have the titles for everything (Thank you Lord).

Please understand, I'm not talking about leaving right now, I never jump into anything without checking out all the angles first. But it looks like the first of the season, next year.

Thanks for any advise or story you wish to share.

I've posted it before and I'll post it again...

When I started my business I was most inspired by this story from Napoleon Hill's book "Think and Grow Rich". It is definitely applicable in this situation

"A long while ago, a great warrior faced a situation which made it necessary for him to make a decision which insured his success on the battlefield. He was about to send his armies against a powerful foe, whose men outnumbered his own. He loaded his soldiers into boats, sailed to the enemy's country, unloaded soldiers and equipment, and then gave the order to burn the ships that carried them. Addressing his men before the first battle, he said, "You see those boats going up in smoke. That means that we cannot leave these shores alive unless we win! We have no choice -we win or we perish!" They won."<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" />

There is not a day that goes by that I don't thank the Man Up Stairs for what I have. :)

I have been in buisness for myself for the last 25 yrs and if i learned one thing that holds true is that good fortune is something earned!!

You cant find it in a book, someone else cant give it to you, and you bet your ass that someone will always try to take it from you if they can!!

And despite all the hard work and effort it takes to be successfull, i would not change a thing !!

I do thank God every day that i was born in a great country that if you apply yourself the sky is the limit...

When is it time????

When your willing to put the time, sweat and heart into it. As long as your willing to work at it and think before you act you can start whenever you like. Just make sure you have some money in the bank to cover yourself. Or, be willing to sub for someone until you can cover your overhead on your own.

Henry hit the nail on the head and he should know... Start working on a business plan now. Do no let you emotions cloud the situation. When one door closes another opens. Make sure that you are ready to open the door and start your business before closing the other door or even worse having it closed on you when you are not ready. Everyone has gotten chewed out unjustly at some time. Turn the situation into a positive and let it be your inspiration to go out on your own when you are ready.

The harder I work, the luckier I get. I think that this applies to anything, especially to a business. I would advise an amendable business plan, though.
