Small 9' Cedar Fence

Here is how I spent my fri. staining this new 950 Lft. 9' tall cedar fence.It took 55 gallons and 6 hrs to complete with one pump and almost 2 fully charged batteries.

I'll tell you I can handle spraying stain over spraying 12% any day. I'll still smell that 12% on me for days after spraying!

Yeah it was a nice warm up today just glad the rain held off it sprinkled on me but I was lucky. Now it can rain all weekend boy we need it!

Do you see many wood jobs?
 
Maybe I'm a little crazy but bleach smells like $$ to me! We need rain in the worst way - it was like this summer 2011 and we had fires, water restrictions, livestock problems, etc......NOT GOOD! I don't do a whole lot of wood restoration...mostly house washing and concrete with some commercial jobs mixed in.


Here are some before and afters of a fence I did in October in Sugar Land, TX. Turned out nice. I go the sodium percarb, about 1000psi, oxalic acid rout and the results are smile inducing! I just wish it looked like this longer - I usually don't push it unless the home owners are putting the house on the market.

Looks good but if you don't preserve cedar it will only rot in our heat and humidity. If you need some stain for a project i'll hook you up i have a good contractor price where you can make some good $.

Wood restoration has been great for us with more repeat and referral biz than ever. I'm busy year round with no advertising!

Thanks Charlie ...This is the only subdivision that I've seen that builds 8' tall fences in all of the yards but the bad thing is they don't put a rot board in these yards.The worst thing for cedar is to let it touch the ground.Yep it's true everything is bigger in Texas!

Sure Daniel give me a call anytime I'll do what I can to help you out. My office is in Tomball and i usually keep a good stock of inventory of all my colors. You can bring me a piece of cedar and I'll make you a sample board for you to show your customers.
