Im so exhausted, tired, and well, smoking way too much! For the past couple of days our new baby loves just crying on end at night ... possibly colic? She cat naps 5-10 mins at a time then starts again (I got a 5-10 min break right now!)

This is crazy ... why can't those little things just talk

Hope yall are having a good night! :D

They do talk, it is just by crying right now. It will all be worth it in the long run. Seeing as you are going through it right now and it has been a year for me, when my new baby comes (November) do you want to come to Atlanta for a while? By that time, yours will probably be a little more ajusted. You will already be use to it. What do ya say?

Spend the time to hold her, cuddle her, whatever it takes. It is unusual for even a baby with colic to cry like that. Might want to make sure nothing is wrong with her, and take her to the doctor. It could be something as simple as she is allergic to smoke, or if she is bottle fed, her stomach cannot handle the formula.

You will make it through it my sister just had a baby and it also had real bad colic she took him to the doctor everything fine still crying changed formula still crying he seemed to cry all the time but he is now 8 months and he finally sleeps all night and is fun to be around but it does get better and definatly worth it when it does just hang in there and catch a nap when possible.

Best thing I found for my son was to hold him against my shoulder and pat his back constantly.

Yea she loves that too :p

She finally went to sleep at like 1:30am ... and slept until 7am :D I was happy, lol.

As for smoke, I don't smoke around her, I go in the garage and even go as far as taking my shirt off so when I go back inside my shirt doesn't smell like smoke either.

She is fine though.....until tonight :D But it's the wifes turn to stay up ;)

Hang in there Pat, my first kid cried every and all night for 6 months. Bad colic. Went to a health food store and bought some colic tablets for her, they seemed to help. That was three years ago, and we laugh at it now

Same here my first son had it BAD for 6 months. Nothing the MD or meds could do but that's been years ago. My wife was a stay at home mom and I worked 60-70 hours a week. I ended up sleeping in the basement work nights for 6 months. Extremely aggravating since you feel so helpless. It will get better. Call the grandma's in for a break.

It will get better. But now my youngest is 17 years old and I have to stay awake to wait for him to come home. I can't go to sleep until he gets home. It's never very late, but I wait for him before I go to bed. You lose sleep no matter how old they are....but I would not trade being a father for anything

I'am dealing with it right now,my baby is 3 months and I had her to every Doctor,Hospital and any test you can think of because I have never seen anything like this. I just sold my house, bought a new car,had a baby that hasn't stop crying since day 1 and my wife and I both work crazy long days.I hope it gets better because it sure is testing our marriage out..LOL good luck brotha..
