I am going to pull a Tony here and sign off of PWI as of Today. Thank you to all of you who have helped me along the way. I hope I have returned the favor or paid it forward in someway by helping someone along the way. Thank you to the founding fathers for your knowledge and allowing me to be appart of your community. I will pop in from time to time to announce information about the Tampa NCE event. I can tell you if even half of what is in the works goes through it will be talked about for a LOOOOONNNGGGG time.

Thank you again.

You will be missed Kory  ....See you tomorrow! :yeah:

Thanks for all the info you have given me and put me on the right track with reclaim.

Later Kory.

I still don't understand the self imposed, public notifications of people letting us know they will not be on the board anymore. It makes no sense, if you are wasting too much time, have some self discipline and don't get on. If you have time and it does not interfere with your life, log on. But what's the deal? Seems kinda silly to me. If I get too busy, the board takes a back seat.

They do the self imposed public notification to give themselves credit that they were finally able to seperate themselves from the bb........

I called it the "Big bag of wind".... If your going to do it then do it. If you need a push by announcing to the world that your leaving....those guys always come back Just like Jeff L who announce to the world he is done....then I read his post back here and there again....:rotflmao:

Man I hope I win Jeff's money:grin::grin:So I can say I won it off of a bb that jeff said he would never go back on..hahahah Jeff is the true "BB King":dance:

LOL How many times have you said you are backing away??? You're a trip John LOL

John I go on the BB's that I choose and disappear off others when it gets to dramatic, boring or I am just busy, IF I announce its when wind bags like yourself are creating crud or just talking crazy:shocked::haha:. I've seen everything on these BB's, some fun, some not so fun. That's why I pretty much go to PT State and hang, no drama, just fun & information. PWI is cool now, so I spend some time here too on occasion, some good info.
The BB's are relaxation for me now, kick back time, when they arent I do other things

Best of luck Kory, have fun and get to work

Too funny!

I'm not coming back to these boards because it is wasting my time and affecting my income.....but I'm gonna create a special board for people who quit going to boards!?!?! WTF? How about email, txt or call the guys you want to talk to, why do you need a board?

None of the boards have been that good lately, I left PT State because I wasn't finding much useful information to help me grow, I came here and found lots more information(not better, or more, I had never been here so it was new reading- mostly archive stuff). There is a ton of useless info and pointless drival on here that I ignore, I have no clur of feuds or the politics of the industy(which is the funniest shit ever that there are politics in pressure washing).

There are so many sad and pathetic things I read and see on these boards, but I ignore, move on and see what can help me. Of course there are off biz topics that are fun, but the point for me is to get better. These boards are a great resource for that.

Well.....I'm never coming back to the boards again.

I would think the biggest reason is out of respect for the rest of us. Knowing someone is taking a break pevents me from needlessly posting a question to that person about a previous post he made or PM'ing them. Now I know that if I want to contact that person I need to call them or email them because my message won't get to him via this board if he is not checking in.

I think it's strictly a courtesy thing and I appreciate it when they do.

Yeah right! It is a cry for attention and the need for affirmation from board members that you are a value and should stay. Just my opinion and doesn't apply to all the self imposed sign-offs.

Just for giggles....how many guys have publicly signed off and stayed off?
I also guantee these guys make the "sign off" post but keep looking back to see what's said! Hi Kory!

First off if you read my first post I said I would check back from time to time and make updates for NCE east. I never said I was leaving for any period of time or forever.

Second I do not need any attention and if you knew any thing about me I am the exact opposite of that. I for the most part lay low and do not require that. I am not a look at me and what i can do kind of person. I do not want to be put up on a pedestal and looked up to. If people do then fine but i do not seek that out! In other words I dont get off on peoples thoughts of me.

I created this post to let others know I would not be visiting frequently and to thanks those who have helped in the past. It is a respect thing.

I am not doing this for self control or because my business is hurting. By the way my business has done nothing but grown year after year by 100% because of this board. I am doing this because of a growing lack of patience for jack asses like you. I am constantly having to clarify what I mean or sugar coat responses on stupid comments.

So once again thank you to all and I will be back soon just to piss some people off. See you in a few weeks!:poke:

Ok I would like to say goodbye as well !! Till we meet again in an hour or so, I say go in peace my fellow hosemen and god speed !! I was going to say something derogatory about Kory so that he would have to come on and rebut but this was already accomplished. lol.....Hey Kory !!

You're funny.

My post about starting a new board must have gone over your head. It was a joke. I'll notch it down in the future so you won't feel left out. :sarcastic:

My "goodbye" post was for a few of reasons.

1) I'm a moderator on here and have a responsibility. I didn't have the same courtesy to inform everyone at the Grime Scene and consequently was rightfully removed as a moderator.

2) It was difficult to not post on here. I have friends (and guys I help on a technical basis) on here that I rarely have time to get on the phone with but we kindof keep up with what's going on here on the board. I wanted everyone to know I wasn't going to be around for a while

3) I wanted to get some things off my chest without any endless back and forth bantering.

4) I used to smoke at LEAST 3 packs of cigarettes per day. On Jan 1, 2001 I told almost every customer I spoke to (thousands - in a different business) that I was going to quit smoking on the anniversary of my father's death the following July. By the time July came around I would have looked like a fool if I didn't quit. The night before the anniversary the combination of smoking an entire carton within 24 hours and the embarrassment of failure made me quit for good. A promise not to return till after the new year was a line in the sand that I would not cross.

PWI has become an extended family with me. Just because you haven't built relationships on here that go deeper than simple business acquaintances doesn't mean you are in a position to judge others motives who have built those relationships.

As far as needing affirmation goes, I can't say anything to convince you that your are wrong about that so I won't bother.
