Signature Banners

Forgive me for being ignorant here.

I've seen a bunch of signature banners with the big guys here, and would like to get my own to show up. Would someone detail how or what needs to be done to do this?

Do we need to send a file with our logo to someone and have them do it? or are we able to somehow do it ourselves from our profile page.

Can those of us without a "logo" just make something up? Maybe just with text?

I'm guessing here, but I may not be the only one who hasn't figured out how to do this..................

Thanks guys/gals.

Thanks Amanda,

I E-mailed a file to you. I'm not sure if you can use that or not.

how do i turn the banner into a link?
i have photoshop 6 i used the slice tool to add a url to the banner but it is not working correctly, any suggestions?

Amanda,
I e mailed you a file with the logo. Let me know if you need anything else.

Tim,

The URL in the picture will not work because it is read as part of the picture. You need to add what is called a "hot spot" over the URL so the browser can distinguish it from the rest of the picture. Or just make the whole picture a link.

The code would look something like this

(a href="http://www.charlottepressurewashing.com")(img src= "http://www.charlottepressurewashing.com/images/motif01.jpg")</a>

except replace " ( " with " < ". I had to use parenthesis so the code would display instead of the image like it did below using the right code.

<a href="http://www.charlottepressurewashing.com"><img src= "http://www.charlottepressurewashing.com/images/motif01.jpg"></a>

Glad to see another Charlottian (?) on the board. I think we may have met once out in Mint hill back last year. I was washing a driveway in one of my subdivisions and you stop and asked if I was interested in subbing the work out. At least I think that was you. Anyway, maybe we will cross paths one of these days. I'm in Matthews and Mint hill a lot.

My oh my Les is ALIVE and WELL.

Welcome back from the lurking Les, how about showing your face more often around here, your knowledge on things would be an asset.

Jon,
I couldn't agree with you more about Les. He taught me a great deal when I first started out and saved me untold mistakes and expensive errors. He is one of those rare finds, someone with knowledge, a willingness to share it, and a desire to improve the industry. He is truly an asset and I hope he will post more often. I am ready for my postgraduate degree!!

thanks for everything.

Thanks for the kind words fellows. I'm glad to be back around.

Glad I could help Tim. Lunch sounds good, that is if I can get away from work long enough to sit down and have it. Usually I'm eating on the run. Give me a call.
