Hey guy... hope all is well....
I am in Florida as well. And I'll tell you this.... if it is a major chain, good luck getting .75 or above... there is a company called JIMCO , who has a lock on this kind of thing, they cover a vast area into GA, TN and the like, they do the repairs as well. They have 20 or more trucks and are well organized. They also try to sell the store fronts in the package. All of the trucks are FULLY stocked with parts, welders and what not. The last I heard they were getting .40 per cart to wash, but like I said they repair as well, so impossible to compete with them.
Are the 28 stores part of a bigger chain?
BUT, they do not reclaim, and the good word on the street is that someone has been gathering pics and video of them just dumping away...hmm we'll have to see what happens with that huh?
If the pay is $.40 including repairs and parts, I better pass on that job. It is a grocery chain in Miami. Here is my math:
If we are able to spray each cart with some light chem and then pressure wash it, it should not take us more than 1 min per cart. If each store has 150 carts, it would take us 150mins or 2.5 hours. Since that is a night shift job, $75 per hour is a normal pay. That would make $1.25 per cart. Even if I betray and low ball my self, I don't think I would take the job for less than $1 per cart. If I add to my calculations time for set up and break down, and lets say some expense for chlorine, it even makes things worst..
