Sex offender locater

 That info makes me want to move to a safer area.

Shoot, there is one in this thread. They are all over...

I have a friend on that list. He got a misdemeanor charge of indecent exposure for having his friends pull over and letting him pee off the side of a dirt road in backwoods Tennessee.

A Cop who had been following them came up with his lights off, hit them with the spotlight and ticketed him.

Once he came out here I went down with him to the PD so he could register as a sex offender.

They had a good old time laughing about the report but they put him in the system.

The answer to all this is to execute the true sex offenders quickly so others like an 18 yr old kid in love with a 16 yr old or some guy taking a piss isn't scarred and marked for life.

I agree that some people may not deserve to be on the list. For those that have teenage kids think about this.

If your high school aged son receives a picture from his similar aged high school girlfriend in which it shows nudity he can be charged with possession of child pornography. Now assuming that the girlfriend wanted this as a private thing and made him promise that he would not show anybody else. Consider what the first thing a young male would do with something like that. He would share it with all his friends either through email or texting. Now he can be charged with possession and distribution.

That is not to say that is every situation, but situations like this, or the one Tony described do happen. Urinating in public may slap on the wrist charge in VA (pay fine only, no jail time) but it could be a sex offense in other states with jail time.

As far as the death penalty, I believe that there are several crimes where a just punishment is the death penalty. That being said, I am falling out of favor of the death penalty as a viable punishment as our criminal justice system has one big flaw. It involves humans. There are too many instances where wrongful convictions occur that the chance of executing the right person is not worth executing the wrong person. http://wtkr.com/2012/11/14/man-wrongly-convicted-remains-in-jail-after-hampton-judge-orders-release/
