Save gas and diesel,

Ok wiz, I have a question that I need a good answer.

I have never used and electric machine, I want to know how they work and if the power supply is good enough do they work like a gas power machine?

I need 3500 and hot water, in your opinion do they work well.

Next can I convert these gas guzzlers motors to electric? And what would be the easiest way to do it?

Electric motors are more energy efficient than Gas or Diesel

But asfar as the Burner goes, Diesel puts out more BTU's for the money.

Ron,

We use Lp to run our Genset and boiler. The truck chassis is using gasoline.

The genset uses about 1 gallon per hour and the boiler as much as 5 gallons per hour. When running flat out our cost for Lp is about $9-10 per hour this would be in the winter and we would be running a 16,000 Btu heater as well. Our boiler is rated at 980,000 Btu. The Genset is rated at 45 Kw and has a 5.7 liter engine. We are running 3 different pumps and the large pump is using a 20 Hp 220 3 phase motor. This pump is rated at 10.2 gpm @ 3000 psi. We also have florescent lighting and 6-20 amp outlets for small tools.

At $3.00 per gallon for gasoline our truck costs $.60 per mile to run down the road. This truck weighs 36,000 pounds and has a 12'8" profile.

The price is wrong and there have been more updates but that is the jist of it there. Jarrod wants everyone to register as it is limited because of the bus he is chartering to take everyone to the demo locations. The actual cost is $107.00.

Thanks Dave, I think your stuff is efficiant at that size. My burner is not as large. I will do the math and reduce the size.

Ron,

When using Lp you need large tanks for the fuel. We have 150 gallons of Lp storage on this truck (two 90 gallon tanks).

To retrofit your present units you may end up Jumping over Dollars to get at Dimes!

Cost too much to convert your machine. A new one would be better.

All Electric draws over 100 amps and special wiring is needed.

38,400 watts average consumption. Start up of this would need about double that,.
That is almost 80,000 watts

nice looking equipment.
