Fire Temporarily Closes Restaurant
February 3rd, 2007 @ 5:47pm
(KSL News) A fire at the Pei Wei restaurant in Sugar House this morning forced it to close for business just before lunch time.
Firefighters say a small fire started in the ventilation ducts for the ovens. When crews responded, they saw smoke and flames shooting from the roof.
Employees were getting ready for the lunch crowd, and had not yet opened the restaurant. They all got out safely.
Fire investigators estimate repairs will cost a couple of thousand dollars.
