South Salt Lake Restaurant Burned Down

A restaurant in South Salt Lake was consumed Saturday afternoon by fire.
The Chicken Express restaurant on State Street burned, with heavy smoke and fire coming from inside the building, when firefighters arrived.
The blaze reportedly started in the kitchen, and quickly spread to the attic.
Firefighters say this isn't the first time their engines have rushed to this business.
“You know we get a lot of calls at this particular business. They burn the chicken right in the window. Active fire right inside the structure.” Said Kevin Bowman, with the South Salt Lake Fire Department
Three people were inside the building at the time of the fire. They are said to be okay.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
