Good tip, Thanks Ron

I do this all the time. Every time we go out and I ask to see the Manager, my Wife and Kids, roll their eyes and say "Here We Go Again". Something to add to this, I always try to keep a good stock of "Pens" people just love a good writing Pen. When you go to these restaurants, take a handful in with you, and hand them out to all the "Waitresses" they love them, and Managers Steal Them!!

Awesome tip Ron!

I bet you'll never guess which parking lot I was sitting at when we talked on the phone this afternoon...

You must of been reading my mind because, I was eyeballing that side door area and thinking, "We really need to do a free demo on that disgusting filth"!

I just wasn't sure on which angle to use.
:scratchhead:

Thanks for the tip Ron, great idea.

Your right-on with this idea Ron. Few months ago I implemented this same idea. I demo'd at a restaurant and got the job...get this, before going to the demo I had to stop off at the gas station to fill up and I asked the manager if he had time for a demo. I told him I was on my way to do a sidewalk cleaning demo at a local restaurant he said come down after I was done.

the demo went well, and a month later I was cleaning for them.

SOLID advice from Ron here everyone!!!

I did this just the other day...
I know its an old thread.. but still something to think about.
Not only do i do this at restaurant's but at almost every other business i walk into to purchase something.
Managers are always willing to listen to you when they think your there to complain...
This is especially true at banks..

Its funny looking at this thread. I just started my business 6 months ago and for the previous 3 years i have been a General Manager at a restaurant. I would say I have had about 5 or 6 people in the last couple of years try this same method......I always agreed to let them do a demo. Not one person ever showed up. Some would even come back in a few months and ask to do a demo. I guess if there's a point, make sure you do it before your 5th rum and coke lol

Thats funny..

The demo (almost) always results in a sale, well it does for us.

plus its good to do a demo for the simple fact that the next time you go there to eat you get a free appetizer....
