I had someone call me about rust spots on a driveway.I know wet sand would take it off but, is there anything else I could use?I have Monster Concrete Wash allready.I really don't want to screw anyones driveway up..

hmm..

Is it irrigation rust or from their vehicle?
I haven't seen the rust I assume its from a vehicle since alot of people in San Antonio don't have sprinkler systems..

It could be that someone used fertilizer pellets and didn't sweep the pellets off the concrete when they were finished. Once the Iron pellets get wet they leave a Rust Spot Stain. sounds like a good coating of Oxalic may be your best friend at this point. Had one like this about a month ago and the OX took care of the problem for the customers driveway and Sidewalks.

With the oxalic...don't let dry? Do you pressure wash to rinse or simply rinse with garden hose?

I have a situation in which the grade on either side of the sidewalk is higher than the concrete. Wash water sits in these areas and doesn't drain from the sidewalk. This causes puddles. When the puddles dry, the iron oxide is left at the edges of where the puddle was. It's proving to be very problematic. I was considering using a higher concentrate of oxalic, then lightly coating the sidewalk so that no puddles would form and just let it dry. Thoughts?

Thanks.

Super Iron out was my first choice but now I go for the NMD 80 from ecochem.

As stated above, sounds like a good coating of oxalic will do the trick, let dwell for a little while and reapply when needed, don't let it dry, it also wouldn't hurt to agitate the surface with a brush a little bit.

Get rid of that "Monster" crap

Why should you not let the oxalic dry on the concrete? Just Curious
