These pictures are of my driveway and Id like to clean it. We dont do conrete, so im not familiar with how to remove the rust. I think Oxalic acid is whats used, but I dont know the mixture, dwell time, etc, for it to work effectively.

Thanks.

Since it doesn't look like irrigation rust, not sure that ox is going to do the
trick. It will lighten it a little. You can use Muratic on it or safe restore.
If you use ox, 2lbs in a 5er for direct app or 4lbs in a 5er than X-jet.

Y'all gonna think that is a Texas thing .... but I've been waiting to post some pics of my driveway, have had a couple of work trucks parked there and they both made a huge mess, once a PW tipped over on the bed and loose all the oil, and several other chemicals that I have spilled there since we bought the house. That was 2 years ago and the driveway looks like 15 years old and abused :)

I was hoping to get an explanation on how to use those caustic beads and where to get them.

I'll post pics tomorrow once Scott get his problem fixed so it doesn't seems like a thread-hijacking.

Go ahead and post pics or start a new thread. You can get caustic soda beads at a chemical supply. I pay $45 + tax for 50 lbs.
I mix 24 oz. of beads to 1 gallon of water and d.s., then cut with a surface cleaner with great results. Some might think its a little much but I like to apply HOT solutions and dont have to go back and apply a second time.

May seem a silly question, but are you talking liquid measurement (like 3 cups) or a weight measurement (1.5 lbs) of caustic beads?

24 oz liquid measure would be about 3 lb of caustic, which would give a 3/8 solution. Not quite 50%, but really hot. I bet the bucket smokes...:D
