Rubber Backing From Rug on Composite Deck?

One of my regular customers called and said when she lifted a rug (approx. 4x6) from her composite deck it left some of the rubber backing stuck to the deck. Pressure washing it may get it off, leave a terrible look,... I looked at it and have determined that some solvent may work,... The deck is already a different color from where the rug itself was laying, so no issue with removing oxidation and changing the color. Any suggestions on what to use for removing the rubber from composite?

P.S.- I told her to put the rug back down, and just hide it.
