RPC Chemicals

Steve really is a great guy. He's done a lot for our industry by sponsoring quite a few Roundtables. Many have enjoyed his hospitality at Hooters.

Personally, I really like the Roof Magic and Roof Magic 4X. Once upon a time, when I used it for roof cleaning, I bought sodium hydroxide from Sun Brite, but they watered-down their product (without changing the label!) and cost me quite a few $$ in re-cleans. While I no longer use SH on roofs, along the way I found that it is a great deck stripper! I have suggested a new label a Deck Magic since it works so well. Full strength for Behr cr*p and CWF, with the 4X as a back-up, downstreamed to clean unstained fences and decks. Works well as a degreaser for drives too.

I would like to have another roundtable in Sept. but have had very little response, maybe this post will help. I have gone through some changes over the last couple of years (personal and business) and haven't been as active as I once was. I would like to see things more active. My wife runs RPC Chemicals now as I have returned to cabinetmaking but I still have answers and solutions to most cleaning needs. Old dogs never forget.

John, Sun Brite Supply has never watered down any of our chems, and we only sell sodium hydroxide based products, that make pros money everyday. I respect opinions so I won't argue your point. Some communication erre may have happened, but I know our products are the farthest thing from watered down.
 
I use a lot of RPC Chemicals....well a lot of different ones that is, the experiences he has had cuts the learning curve a little bit.

Tracy, If you will do some research, you will see that that is exactly what happened. The formulation was changed, but not the label or the the product description. As I recall, you were the one that informed me of the mix-up - after I complained. I'm sure you have my records on file.

Now how cool is that. I learned my biz on that BB, hell thats how I learned how to wash. Good ole Ron Strickland from Xterior told me about TCN. Theres some great info over there .:cool: Cool
