Roof Wash vs House Wash

I've read some posts here that describes roof wash mixtures and house wash mixtures. The two appear to be roughly opposite as far as the SH/water ratio goes. Am I reading this right?

Don't know where your reading that Red but roof wash should be much stronger then house wash and they can be similar though in what's used in the mix...
Is that what your asking?

You pretty much confirmed what I have read.

The mix is roughly (SH:Water) 70:30 (roof wash) and the other is 30:70 (house wash). The values I've used are approximate to represent what I mean by opposite.

I'll find the posts if it will make things clearer.

Yes you are. But a lot will be deteined by the surface your cleaning and how dirty it is

That's very strong for roof mix. My roof mix is the opposite.

No. My roof mix is 30% SH 70 % water. My house wash mix is even weaker as I downstream 90% of the time. Again for house washing your mix strength wi be determined by how dirty it is and your application method. But I would never use a. 70% SH mixtures. 50/50 tops.

As Doug said you need to also take into account your application method, roof mix is going on straight and you are downstreaming or xjetting house wash mix.

+1 on the roof mix Doug. Then I cut that in half for my house wash mix.

Yes they are different and the house wash mix will be much weaker as Doug stated. And also as he said it will vary based on the surface. My roof mix is 5:1 (water:SH) as a stronger mix, and as low as 20:1 (plus a detergent) for a downstream house wash mix. In the coastal areas and south that would be weak soo....adjust to your application. but 50/50 is defiantly as strong as I would ever go too.
