Roof Protection after cleaning

I would like to know what is the best Roof Protector, to keep the algae from growing back, for the money? I have been using Roof Armor from Cleanertoday.com. But it is $34 per bottle, and quite often I use at least one bottle, and sometimes more than that. I know $34 isnt much, but im trying to lower my costs, while still using quality products...any advice would be helpful!

IF you are using Apple Sauce to clean with, it has protection built in.
See my "hillbilly roof treatment thread" here and on TGS for info on making your own.

Thanks for the info. I checked out the "Hillbilly" post, and i didnt get what the "armor all type stuff" was? Just armor all? Also, Ive been all through your website and have never seen "Apple Sauce". I usually use renew from Ace cleaning, but it doesnt seem to penetrate very well and shipping is outragous. Ive also used QSE from Cleanertoday.com, but didnt like having to mix a powder. Any advice on this would be fantastic also!
