stuck at the secretaries desk! :banghead:
I am trying to get in the door at a chain of gas stations that is locally owned, and they are buying every gas station in a 100 mile area... The buildings are filthy and the concrete is the same,
Also a chain of Grocery stores most have the gas stations owned by the grocery store. I am guessing their is over 100 of these in a 120 mile radius.
I have tried everything I know (which aint much) :banghead: :banghead:
I have left info with imperial guards at the front desk and the famous candy jars (checking on them every month)
Left voice mail after voice mail.
My question is... is they any one thing I need to concentrate on to get their attention.
If this was trying to sale fleet washing I go ahead and put it in the bag, But selling concrete cleaning to chains this big is really getting to me, I have almost run out of steam, but with the new year coming in about hmmm 30 mins I want a new way to approach them.
I am not looking for a quick fix just a new outlook and maybe a swift kick in the butt, to keep knocking on their doors.
Thanks for any info in advance!

Daniel,,,,,Use the search button. :wave3:

My search button is broken..... :kma: :rotflmao1:

Daniel, to be honest I just will leave a card and maybe a copy of our commercial portfolio and move on, I concentrate on the stuff thats being cleaned already not the stuff that needs cleaning, because I dont have the objection of money to overcome, they are used to paying so I am one step ahead from the start.

People that care clean already, thats why I like commercial, I only have to sell myself not pressure washing as a whole, they already know the value, we just have to sell the service we provide.

Settle down Grasshopper,

First do a Stencil Demo but get permission from a couple GM's

If the candu Jars in Place thats good because you have a way now to get the demos to them thru the gate keeper.

Once you get the GM's do a live demo while you photo and video it, ask if they can help you perform the same demo for there boss.

Use a training store, all corps have a training store. I cant explain why right now but you will figure it out.

Try going thru proper channels...if that doesnt work go right to the top. Do this first.

Have you done a complimentary cleaning for a DM or RGM?

Be patient, if they are not using anyone why are you so stressed.

These accounts take time, they work on cycles.

If the gate keeper is allowing the candy Jar and has not thrown you out why worrie yet.

Do you have the guys name who make the decisions.( get it from the gate KEEPER)

Call him and dont be affraid to ask him whats it going to take to get his business?

Tell Cole Hey

Thanks Ron and Russ...
Great advice! never thought about not worrying since no one else is cleaning them.. thanks !
Back to the Grind Stone Monday morning this is part of my Goal in 2010 to pick up these 2 accounts!

I try not to concentrate on one or two customers... I usually talk to about 15 to 30 restaurants per week.. Most of them already use someone for their service.. So I just keep asking .. I also keep a MAYBE SHEET I list everywhere I stop , who I talk too and what they say are Dont say... Concrete Sales should not be that hard , You can give an estimate on paper without even talking to the manager.. Then contact the owner or corp. that owns the business and talk to them first .. I never ask the middle man unless I am told too.. Good Luck DAN Its gonna be a great year..
