Roll Dam Tide ?

I was listening to sports radio about the Auburn/Alabama rivalry yesterday. It seems an Alabama Fan killed some Trees on the Auburn Campus, then bragged about it on national radio! He got busted, and was jailed. His answer as to why he did it "Roll Dam Tide"
Anyone hear any more about this ?

Must be a completely different part of the country. I have never heard of a football team from Auburn and the only thing I know about the football team from Alabama is from a Tim Wilson song. I didn't think that many adults cared about college level football.

A little history lesson for you young whipper snapper

It's unfortunate that we have to deal with "fans" like this. As a Bama football season ticket holder since 1969, I was 3 when my dad and I started going to the games, we have always had our share of rapid fans. These “bad apples, inbreds, or just stupid rednecks,” what ever you want to call them that go too far can sometime ruin the game-day experience (if they aren’t arrested first). Any major-competitive team has them as I see them at AU, UF & definitely LSU, just to name a few (Kentucky basketball, too).

Several years ago after the Iron Bowl game in Auburn, I got back to my car to see that my tail light was busted out by an Auburn fan as I had UA stuff on my car and we had just won. We will see a lot more videos like this one from Auburn fans now as some of their rednecks will have some superiority complex after winning the title and feel the need to continuously spout off at the mouth to anyone that will listen. It’s amazing that people will actually put this crap on video and thinks it cool (or drive to Auburn and poison the two symbolic trees). I guess it fills a serious void in their lives as they just can’t take losing to the other side!

This a page set up yesterday by some Bama Alum. I joined yesterday and there was only about 15,000 fans!! I think it's very cool to see everyone working together. They have raised over $22,000 in less than 24 hrs.

Personally, I could take or leave all sports. Too many people take them way too seriously. I just have no need for them. My wife could, and does, watch football all day long.
I see no need for anything that causes this much hate and vitriol.
That being said, good for the Bama fans who are anteing up money to try and repair the damages of an idiot.

Florida Fans take the cake IMHO for being Classless. They were playing FSU and one of the FSU Players got busted at Dillards cause his girlfriend hooked him up with free clothes. At the Swamp, over 50,000 Dillard Shopping Bags were handed out!

He's a nut bag eco-terrorist. I don't know one Bama fan thqt thinks this act was in anyway right.
Me either Scott. Alabama fans are rabid in support of their team, but this was a classless act by a nut case. I heard about it while driving in my truck. They actually had the guy on sports talk radio bragging about it! He actually called into some sports talk radio show to brag about it. Said the Trees should be dying shortly from the crap he fed to them.
