Tom, I have not seen any pressure drop at all, I was thinking I would but even with 300 feet of hose we are still at 3000psiDo you have trouble with pressure drop between the skids at the front and the reels at the back?
Is that pvc running in front of the 2 machines a dump valve for your water tank? Do you have a hard time with water supporting 3 machines? That thing is sweet!
We dont have any trouble running three machines either. As long as you have at least 1in line to pumps your good.Spencer, yes it is 2 inch PVC with T's that each machine has a 1 inch feed line going to it. Also there are 2 dump valves, one one either end, I do not tote water unless I have too so we want to be able to drop the tank quickly and no we dont have a hard time with the water (yet?) it is basically 22 gpm, I fill the tank when we arrive at the job and then we connect 1 or 2 3/4 in filler hoses to support us as we work, so far so good.
I got rid of the 2008 with the 6.4 after they replaced the engine but I still have the old 7.3 as well as a new 2010 with a v10, I love the V10, wish I had 5 of them. Unless this new 6.7 they have now does miracles I wont be buying another Ford diesel for a while.Hey Russ,
Nice setup but tell me about your Ford. A while back I recall you had a major oil leak while on the way to a job.....looked very bad..like it blew up. How is that diesal working for you and one Ford guy to another..are you missing the old 7 liter....I was until I saw the mileage some of the 6 liters are getting.
