Reusing Plastic

We use 3 mil clear. We reuse every reusable piece of plastic several times. It has cut our plastic purchases by at least 50% per year if not more. Additionally we are not using a lot of plastic for a few hours and then dumping it into a landfill for who knows how many years. Not a perfect solution but we save some money and pollute the enviroment less. Figuring out the savings per job seems small but when I look at it over a full year, it is quite a savings. Again sometimes we use the plastic over and over and over. Its not too dirty. We never clean it. If its not too dirty and doesnt have holes we use it till it is unusable. I know many people out there find this repulsive. But have they have ever tried it.? Here, in my area I know at least 3 hood cleaners that reuse plastic. They are all within a 20 mile radius. Must be a lot more further out.
Poly is made from what? Oil. We are also reducing our consumption. Multiples of small good deeds with eventually add up to a much greater good.

KEEP THE DIRTY SIDE UP AND DO GOOD THINGS, NO MATTER HOW SMALL THEY SEEM TO BE. THEY ALL MATTER.

The plastic we use to funnel the grease we do not reuse. The plastic we use to protect the kitchen from overspray we reuse. It might get a speck or two on it but it is used as just a shield to keep rogue overspray in check. Then it goes to the land fill after a few uses. Just the price of doing business.

Just cuious guys, anyone ever seen rolls of white plastic, not clear?

I have a project that I need large amounts of white plastic on rolls but can't find it locally. I am about to start searching on the internet.

Thanks.

We picked on Ed A LOT because we misunderstood what he meant about reusing plastic. He is talking about the overspray stuff too, not the funneled plastic that gets nasty. I agree with him. I have about an 8 foot section that I keep rolled up in my bottom drawer of the toolbox that I use over and over just to cover from overspray. However, it's gets very little use because I'm really good :D and don't really have any overspray.
