Removing the Pulley

I removed the old engine off my skid. Getting ready to install the new one.

How do I remove the rest of the pulley assembly??? I removed the pulley, but cannot get the inner part off the shaft. Tried tapping the part itself, the key (metal rectangular pin), etc.

You might have to put some heat on it i have no clue

You can use a 3 jaw puller. If you do not have one of those take a longer threaded bolt and run it through the threaded hole on the bushing (there are 2 threaded and two non threaded holes around the outside). Put some shims or something between the bushing and the engine. As you tighten the bolt against the shims it will push the bushing off.

See the two slits in the bushing? Take a flat blade screwdriver and GENTLY tap it into the slits, spreading them slightly. It should come right off.

Must be nice using bushed bore sheaves, I had to remove one today that was a solid bore and it sucked.
