Remote Needed

I don't understand why I can pick up a remote for $50.00 that can start my truck, turn on the air conditioning, fill it up with diesel and go automatically go to the DMV for license plates,:( and tuck me into bed, but I can't find a remote that can start and stop a simple carburated pressure washer for less than $1500.00.

When we go on a roof we might spend the first 15 minutes setting up. Then after we are done it might take 30-50 minutes to put everything back together. I don't want to waste 4 or 5 of those minutes sending a guy down just to shut off the machine. Especially since only the top guys are allowed to operate the lift.

Most car remote starters only allow the car to run for 15 minutes or so. That's not going to work. I found one that runs for 1 hour and paid $89 for it only to find out that it only works on fuel injected vehicles and requires a tachometer signal to work.

Isn't there a market for this for people who do roof work? Why is this so hard to find? Any ideas?

Just run a K7 unloader with a bypass to your tank and let 'er run while you set up.

Is a K7 unloader different from the unloader I have stock on the machine?

My PW is a Landa PGHW5-3500 and the manual says it has a AR-AL Unloader? The guy at Landa keeps telling me that even though I have a bypass to the tank I'm cutting the life of my machine in half by letting it run.

You're putting hours on the engine and pump, but as long as you keep up maintenance, it won't be a problem.

Why are you using a pressure washer on the roof?

you can actullay make a remote out of a car alarm but will take someone who knows what they are doing.. some additional relays and wiring and you can have it perfected..

I tried that. I have right here next to my desk an unused Directed Valet Model 561R. It is one of only three I could find that would allow the PW to stay running more than 15 minutes without shutting itself off. (auto shutoff built into the software.)
Once I bought it I spent two days and about 2 hours on the phone trying to get it to work. The bottom line is this one and ALL the others that will allow me an hour of operation time require fuel injection and an electronic tachometer signal to work.
And even if I got one of those to work I'd still have to turn the unit on every hour because there isn't a single manufacturer that makes a remote start that stays on for more than an hour. What a mess!

Maybe someone needs a remote start for their truck. I'll donate it for the Pheonix Roundtable as a prize.:)

you have to fine the one with the v60 remote

Just set up a bypass to your tank and let it run. I used to turn it off/on and looked for remotes. Now I just let the thing run all day! We do a lot of intermittant cleaning where we are spraying chems, brushing with a floor machine, pressure washing, etc. I just let it run so it's always ready to go when needed. It doesn't seem to burn much extra gas.

hey tony the model you need is a dei 450 r i think it has 6 channels you will need the v 60 remote transmitter.. if you know how to play with car alarms then you will make this work ... this is the model in my mecatronics unit ... it works awesome......2 bad they went out of business....... this is also for anyone that wants to make their units wireless... this is the secret recipe... good luck
