Recommend brand of ball valve?

Ball valves - great in theory - but I haven't found one that doesn't need a cheater bar to turn off or on after a couple weeks. Does this only happen to me? I've put silicone, oil etc in the valve, sometimes it helps but not for long. Looking for teflon or any recommendations. Thanks.

I've had a lot of luck with this one. Rated 3,060 PSI, nickel plated brass. Available 3/8" or 1/2".

This is the same one that I recently switched over to about a month ago. 3/8 version. I love them. :)

That is the kind that I use, I love them. All the rest have the bar fall off and the bar gets caught in my sleeve when I wear a jacket. The above kind is the best I have used.

Like Larry says, that ball valve that he has shown you is ideal for the work we do. I have use that one every since I went fulltime which was 4-years ago. I have had to replace it once, but they hold up better than anything I have found out there. Well worth the price we pay. Hugh

Depends upon the uses you are using them for. I use the same one as most on here and go through them monthly, but the heat has effects far greater than caustic or other detergents I feel

I have 2 with the bar and they do get caught on EVERYTHING!!!!! they get loose and they also bend.
The valve itself has been good but the handle is aggrevating.

The problem I had was with the brick shaped one. I fixed it by taking it apart and sanding away a hair off the rotaing part. They build them way too tight and they will bind up. Call if you have any questions.

I got so tired of loosing them (while going down the road mostly) I went and got some quicksteel and loc tight from autozone. Mix a little of each togeather and the put it on the threads. havnt had a problem since.;)
