Ray Lewis - Thug or Role Model?

I am just flabergasted as to how the media is making this guy to be a role model to our children.

The similarities between O.J. Simpson and Ray Lewis are scary. Two murders, two aquitals and two guilty civil suits.

Murder trial
Following a Super Bowl XXXIV party in Atlanta on January 31, 2000, a fight broke out between Lewis and his companions and another group of people, resulting in the stabbing deaths of Jacinth Baker and Richard Lollar. Lewis and two companions, Reginald Oakley and Joseph Sweeting, were questioned by Atlanta police, and 11 days later the three men were indicted on murder and aggravated-assault charges. The white suit Lewis was wearing the night of the killings has never been found. Fulton County District Attorney Paul Howard alleged the blood-stained suit was dumped in a garbage bin outside a fast food restaurant.

Lewis' attorneys, Don Samuel and Ed Garland, of the Atlanta law firm Garland, Samuel & Loeb, negotiated a plea agreement for his guilty plea to a misdemeanor charge of obstruction of justice. Lewis admitted he gave a misleading statement to police on the morning after the killings. Superior Court Judge Alice D. Bonner sentenced Lewis to 12 months' probation, the maximum sentence for a first-time offender, and he was fined $250,000 by the NFL, which was believed to be the highest fine levied against an NFL player for an infraction not involving substance abuse. Under the terms of the sentence, Lewis could not use drugs or alcohol during the duration of the probation.

On April 29, 2004, Lewis reached a settlement with four-year-old India Lollar, born months after the death of her father Richard, pre-empting a scheduled civil proceeding. Lewis also reached an undisclosed settlement with Baker's family.

Thug, but like everything the media does they can turn him into a messiah as they do with every agenda their pushing. And the brain dead populace that knows nothing about reality will cheer for them. We live in the scariest society being lead by the worst offenders of human rights in the History of this Great Country...what a shame !!

Guns dont kill people, Ray Lewis kills people

Couldn't have said it better.

Before anyone judges anyone find the facts. Not the media story you want to hear. We all are not innocent. And I just saw something the other day that reminded me of the facts of this case. Truth be known is that Ray rolled over and testified against his "friends" for a plea deal. If he hadnt then he would have been found not guilty as well as they were. But he stood up for what he believed in. I love how people that are not from this area rip him apart and only cause he is a kick ass player. I guess its no different when someone succeeds someone else is telling how he got there the wrong way...too funny.

Oh yeah just for the people that want to hate the guy check out the latest...They want an investigation cause Ray used Deer Antler Spray. Seriously...I guess I can get my point across. Oh yeah BTW they are selling the deer antler spray on the corners downtown for the same as a dimebag...

Bought some last week. You should check out my washing skills now.

Didnt see to many Ray Lewis haters in that crowd of over 100,000 that showed up to celebrate our Super Bowl win.

Thug.

he's far from a role model, even nothing to do with the murder, but with all the self promoting he does. that said, i don't think it's fair to call him a thug at this point in his life. he's certainly not my cup of tea but he has turned his life around and seems to be a good family man. if i was related or friends with the victim i'm sure i'd think otherwise so take it for what it's worth.
