I was wondering if anyone thinks the same about names such and this.

I have not given much thought, I love sopranos and have seen every episode.

I even have watched about every godfather movie and M_fi_ movie made.

Heck I have Lunch with Bobbie G on occasion. He cracks me up and his uncle mikey is a riot of and old man. Listening to the storys are quite eciting of how they delt with day to day life back then.

I have never metioned this PWM thing for fear they might be insulted. This guys by no means are thugs anymore. There past crimes they have paid and now enjoy there life in the sun with there familys that have moved on.

My freind Joe C. , I will just use his intials because he never went to prison but was convited and his lawyer got him probation. (booking) largest in arizona history.

This was just my opionion, I realize the PWN is not and org and its just fun.
 
PWM has no intention of being and Org.We also know the stigma that is carried with the use of the word Mafia,but it doesnt seem to be hurting the guys from the CMT show Trick My Truck "The Chrome Shop Mafia".The funny part is the PWM was coined before I had ever seen their show aired.I wasn't trying to copy anyone Else's idea.
The sale of PWM merchandise to other pressure washing contractors is solely for the purpose of raising money for charity.Neither myself or Bob make any money off of this.We see it as an avenue to help others and promote our industry in a positive light to the general public.
The upcoming sale of shirts will benefit the Autism Foundation.The shirts will have a special banner that designates what charity the proceeds go to.The next sale will be another charity on our list or put we'll up a poll to get the input of other contractors.

Can't argue with that. It all goes to charity. Considering that some of these Charitable foundations only give such a small % to the neesdy while there board members make some big bucks you cant argue with the principles of the PWM.
 
I thought it was a kind of cool idea for guys who wanted them (T shirts) and it is great for the charity part. Kind of cool shirt for hanging around

Its just the general public I think could see it another way

See around my area, I have heard so much about the Concrete Mafia and it isnt a good thing, unless you are in the concrete biz. The prices were going up every month and they were seen as ripping the public off with their prices

When I was building my house I remember when I 1st looked into it concrete was XX$$ and then it went up almost 20% less than 6 months later and I asked why and basically everybody would say "The Concrete Mafia"

So I think around here if I was to promote "The Pressure Washing Mafia" it might be seen as negative and then their are somepeople that see the Mafia as crooks & murderers

Hey I knew, drank and worked more than a few mobsters in Boston & Philly, worked in some of their businesses, lived a couple doors down from them. I never had any problem with a one. Maybe its that political correct sh*t, But I would hope most people took it what it was for.

So I'm on the fence on this one, for the most part, I just wouldnt promote it at all with anything to do with my biz

Wow....I was told concrete prices had gone up due to high demand.It's tripled in price here over the last few years much the same way steel prices have.

When the general public see the shirts and notices the Autism Foundation 2007 Fund Raiser banner next to the PWM logo I don't think they'll confuse it with anything other than a charity.
 
I may buy a shirt or two so Scott and Bob can send more money to the charity that the money will be going to. At first I didn't like the message in there about Org's but I since softened my stance on that since it wasn't being org. specific.

As for the Mafia part considering I am of Sicilian decent the more I look at the PWM shirt since its all going to a good cause maybe where taking the name a little to serious and because of that some don't join and then the charity loses out because of some of us taking the name so seriously.

As for using the shirt to market it with your business lets say on your website that may be a little to much because some who search your site might not look into what the shirt stands for and they don't call you. Some Italians also might take it the wrong way. I have a few Italian buddies who wouldnt watch my favorite show "The Soprano's" because they said the show was a disgrace to there race. Thats a little far fetch but thats the reaction that some get.

Why not have a thread on every BBS so the kids can raise more money.

Heck, we could have a nationwide carwash and donate the money to a cause.

How much do you think we could raise? last wash i did was about 5000.00

I will do another in sept for a baseball program booster at a local high School. The coach is a great guy and the School is private and the kids dont get all the stuff they need. (because it is private) Not a rich kids school.
