Hi Wiz, rebuilt my 2021 and have it working well.
My question is this.
Why do i have to leave one cap nut loose on the pump untill i get a prime and then tighten it down?
I only needed to do this one time after rebuilding but want to know the reason for it.

This will help purge any air from the system preventing or minimizing the possiblity of air hammer/cavitation and the associated damage.

Normaly when I install a new pump I just pressure feed the pump with water from the inlet and slowly turn the pulley by hand to prime it and loosen up the packings. This usually works well with no problems.

Where do i get the O rings that go under the 6 cap screw's?
where can i buy just the cap's?

The parts Are available. The Caps are sold in a 6 pack and the orings seperate. Look on my website under General Pump for a breakdown.
