The tree company brought one of those out a few weeks ago to take down a tree in my yard. It was impressive! It had special all terrain tires on it, so the whole truck sat a good 5 feet off the ground. As I was watching them work all I could think about was how cool one of those trucks would be to help wash a building... Congrats!

What's the weight of your "little one" ?

Sweet!!!! I sold my bucket truck last year...and where missing it already but that bucket truck only went 30' up. I've been renting lifts all along also but a 60' is the magic number for us. I bet you got some sweet deal on that truck. I'm jealous... Here's a picture of a lift we rented just a few weeks ago..

Equipment rentals are killing us, we own an 80 footer but moving it around for small jobs is NO GOOD! Besides I hate the way rental company's do business, when times were good and everyone was renting lifts like crazy they were putting aside company's like mine for the bigger guys, well guess what, we are still in business and still paying our bills, where are all of their "big" companies now? BK / out of business, stiffed every one, so I will do my best to buy my own equipment rather then rent , just for that reason.

This 60 footer will fill in alot of gaps for sure, we will mount all of the equipment on the flat bed portion of this truck, should work out great. We will plum the entire boom with high pressure, soap, electricity and rinse lines.

I am looking for a 40 footer on an International frame like this one, but hard to find. I may be getting an awning bussiness soon, so will come in handy.

I really wanted an 80 footer but the $$ difference is considerable along with the insurance issues, so 60 footer it is!

This truck was a steal, the company we are getting it from has a massive inventory and are looking to move them fast. We are just waiting on some inspection reports and boom certification.

Cool---Here some pics of an end of a 10 yr era with the only bucket truck I ever purchased. I may in the future by one of those trailer 60' lifts because they only way around 6000lbs... just looking for the right deal. Driving the big trucks we've done that and even sheared off some from our 24' box truck years ago when it hit a low liying branch.. so those days are over for us and the maintainance on them were astrinomical because none of the shops I dealt with fixed them so I had to take my large Truck to a Truck place and for me it just wasnt worth it.... but that wasn't a bucket truck... Your large truck if the business is there its definitely worth the gas and breakdowns it may get along the way.

Best of luck

That is a cool truck, but I am getting more into the 5 ton trucks these days, Ford credit is just not what it used to be, and they were the only reason I bought 350's & 450's, but now that the interest rates are going up, they make it not worth while any more.

I saw a truck like yours at an auction not long ago but 288,000 miles is just a bit too high ya know!

Cool truck, but I cannot imagine how proud you would be if your wife had a kid.

Well at least the truck doesn't leak :yeah:
The truck cost less then the hospital visit:yeah:

Thanks!!
