Property Managment

This is my first post or should I say question for the group since joining two days ago. So if this is not the correct forum let me know. I am looking at going after property managers for commercial accounts what is the best way to approach and market your services to them? Cold call? Walk in the door re: specific location???

Ey John and welcome.

I would say that there is not one definitive way of having success in approaching property managers... Try all methods and see what works for you. Some like direct contact and a relationship, some just want the job done so don't want a big sales pitch and all the 'bells and whistles' marketing approach. What are your strengths in selling? Are you a people person, great at developing sales tactics, graphic design, etc? Either way, I have learned that you need to be contacting them and not just thinking or talking about it.

If you use the search feature on this forum you will find a lot of valuable information - just need to find it and use it!!

Good luck!!

Thank you steve. I have spent the last 24 hours going through PWI and there is a ton of info! It is almost to much. I could probably spend 2 weeks on this forum and not get through all of it. I will take your advise and try all the avenues I can.

I totally agree with you... I have spent many hours reading this forum before becoming a member. I spend a few hours on this forum every day and I am no where even close to reading everything.

I would strongly suggest that you try to make it to a round table meeting as soon as you can. http://www.nationalcleaningexpo.com/
Attending a round table meeting was one of the best business decisions we could have made.

Thanks Terry

I agree, I have been to a lot of Round Tables this year and some last year and the year before that.

Some of the best info you get is before or after the Round Tables when you are meeting new people and talking to those with a lot of experience.

Get to a Round Table when you can, it really will help your business, they sure have helped mine!
