Propane machine

Too difficult to locate fuel in the late hours.
 
Ed, There is a large KEC company in Vegas that uses Propane fires electric machines. They can be used indoors under a hood. If you have ever been in Wally world in the wee hrs of the morning, they use propane floor scrubbers every night.

I found this but they are really high dollar. I was shocked.
 
We have been using Lp all of the years we've been in business. What do you want to know Ed?

I almost bought from that company 3 different times but the owner and 2 of his salesmen are just real A**holes to deal with. They just talk and talk and talk and when you finally get to ask a question they give you a roundabout answer and get off the subject.

I am sure that they are good machines but if they are like that before you even purchase, imagine what hell you would go through to get some work done on the machines.

We are being forced to run a Hot Water machine on one of our largest jobs. We have to bring it into the buildings and often up some stairs. So what I would like to know is..........Are there any portable propane machines. For instance about 200 lbs. Power America and Sampson have hot water oil powered electric machines that weigh about 250. I haven't found anything in that weight range in propane. Also the oil fired start @ $1700.00 and up. Fumes from those machine are the other problem. Other than weight.

Ed, a thought. Do you have access to their hot water? AR has a hot sealed, 2 Hp cold water machine capable of 180* inlet water.
 
Did you see on the news about a problem with propane dealers around the country filling containers 2 gallons less and still charging full price? They did not want to raise the prices when the gas and diesel was going up so they just shorted the amount of propane they put into the tanks.

They were caught and said that most people would not know how much that was put into the container as they are very complacent and trusting.They still ripped people off. What a scam!!!!!

We have run as much as 700 feet of hose off of our truck to reach areas.

We have an account that we have to park our truck about 2 blocks away!

In this case we use what water the kitchen has (luke warm) and increase our chemical to make up for lack of heat. I would not want to run a burner inside a building, even if it was Lp! Too much risk in a confined area.
 
Dave had a small block chevy 350 running on propane! Ran the engine at 1500 rpm I think, turning a generator which powered two electric motors turning large pumps.
 
I can see that setup purring along indefinitely. Dave said that running the propane the engine looked brand new inside.
 
The oil inside the engine of a engine fueled by propane doesn't get as dirty. You can go longer in between oil changes and it it keeps your plugs cleaner as well. That must of been one powerful generator on that engine to push those electric pumps!
