Hi all,

Need to check a price on a new cold water machine. Also, anyone have experience or heard of this machine?

"Dirt Killer"
3000 psi / 3 gpm
cold water
"Kranzel" (German) pump. (Stainless, 10 yr guarantee, 2 hr run dry, freeze proof, downstream chemical injection)

Honda Engine

comes with 50 ft hose, gun, tips and rotomax type nozzle

price................$ 2,250.00

What do you think?

What are you going to be washing?
cold water only-is good for somethings and hot is good for a lot of things.
The GPM is low, so it will take longer to clean stuff then a 5 gpm with the same PSI.
ONCE YOU KNOW WHAT YOU WANT
things to think about
can you work on the unit yourself? if not you might be better off looking at a local dealer.
Do you want a unit thats made overseas?
how hard is it to get parts?

Ron,
Mostly deck work and house cleaning. The GPM did seem low, and i see that Mark McIntyre has more GPM and PSI for less money. I'm going to stay cold water for now. my next step will be hot.

The guy who works on my machines now is really close and he reps this washer line. The only difference i see between his machine and Mark's is the pump. They are selling the "Kranzle" pump on the 10 yr guarantee, and the fact that it can run dry for 2 hours without hurting the pump. (not sure what value to put on these claims.) Forgot to mention, this is a direct drive pump.

I am also putting a little added value on the fact that they are close and can service the Dirt Killer machine if it breaks.

I haven't started negotiating yet and this is his initial price. I don't expect to pay quite that much.

Your guys resposes will help me figure out if there is real value in that pump or if i can push him hard on the price.....

Thanks for your input.

if i were you i would call MARK.
He wont steer you wrong.
i can tell you that e-spec sells a 3,200 psi 4.2 gpm with a 11 hp honda for $1925.00 plus shipping
no tax dirt killer $150 more for the 13 hp and 3500 psi
you did'nt say what size motor the one your looking at was.

Mark at Easy Clean could probably set you up with something more suited to your application. He set me up with a killer hot water machine at a low price I never expected to see. Of course you would have to do your own wrenching, should the machine need it, but Mark would certainly help you as much as he could.

Shawn, if your looking for distributor for pricing they cannot respond here. please ask in the dist. section if you need them.

I think this is a good idea, i wonder if you will get any responses. this really makes things competitive.. good going....use the BBS to your advantage...

Thanks guys,

I e-mailed Mark for info and pricing. The pump is the only difference between the Dirt Killer and Mark's machine. Mark's also has more GPM.

Ron,

We posted at the same time again. Yeah, this probably should be in distributor section.

I wasn't looking for distributor pricing so much. I just wanted some info on this "Kranzel" pump.

Price looks very high compared to other models. Pump is the only difference.

I think at that price you would be getting seriously ripped off. I paid $1600 for a 3000@4GPM cold water machine, belt driven, five years ago.

3 gallons per minute will never be enough for you, shawn.
