I am looking for a pressure washer mainly to wash my car with. But may be used for the siding of the house. Would 1 and a half horse power be enough or should I go ahead and shell out the extra money on the 3 horse power or even the 6 horse power. Will be appreciative of any help u could give me..

I know that this question is a little out of place and that most of u work in pressure washing...But it shouldnt take all that much time to answer. Thanx

Northern Tool has a nice little 5hp gas cold water unit that's rated at 3gpm @ 2000psi, good for general residential use and it's on sale right now. The variable 0°-80° spray nozzle that comes with it is pretty cheezy, but you can purchace other tips for it.

Hope this helps,

Since you are washing your car with it, etc. and don't need a ton of pressure I would suggest one of those little pressure washers from Home Depot, about 2.2 gallons at 1000 PSI. Not the biggest kid on the block, but great for your uses.

car cleaning and house washing

As far as the pressure washer goes, 2000 to 2250 @ 3 to 3.5 gallon a
minute is good. Washing your car and cleaning your house are two
completely things. I have been washing houses for almost 18 years.
I have seen houses ruined by inexperienced company employees.
I have also seen people injured. I do not know what kind of experience
you have had, but be careful. I do 99% of my work from the ground.
Hope this helps and good luck. I posted this earlier but I believe it ended
up somewhere else.
