Powerwashing Van Before and After

I bought this 87 Ford Extended Cargo Van E-150 last year. I paid $700 for it. This Van had 113,000 miles on it and its a 6 cylinder. I did some Graffiti removal for Macco and they in turn painted my Van Black for $700. I also paid $400 getting a new Radiator installed among other things like an Inspection etc.

SO the Total I paid was $1800 and the Van looks new except for a dent on the other side sliding door. Then I put a couple of cold water Powerwashers in it among other items then off to work.

Of course a month later the Tranny went and around the same time I lost one of my part time workers.

This year I plan on putting a new Tranny in it and redoing the inside where I don't have as much stuff in there. This Van will basically be used to tow my new Rig. I got a price for $1500 for a new a Tranny. So the Van total will end up being $3200 from the beginning. The engine works like a charm with no rattles.

Here's some pictures.

Looks like your exhaust deflector pointed toward the air filter once upon a time:D

I like it. Certainly a big difference. My first (The originator) was an 88 dodge. You certainly turned the old ford into a new diamond.

Looking good, I was wondering wher do you put your gun mounts, first look, I thought it was a armored truck....

But you can tell you put some time in it....

Looks like we had the same problems, my first rig was a van that I bought, 450.00, two days later my tranny went out, tranny, clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing, about 1300.00....

Nothing is ever easy......

My first van was an 89 Ford with a straight 6. I can't imagine towing that wash rig with it. Good luck........I think you're going to blow something up in the rear/tranny doing that. Get ready for a trip to the shop again......

Or, not. Maybe it will suprise you and last forever. My 6 was a dog though........I hope there are no hills in your neck of the woods.
