Please Replace Lost Dead Delavan Posts

Please replace the Dead Delavan posts that were moved to the 'Vault' last week. Will this arbitrarily happen in the future? I asked a question about equipment. My intention was to investigate and assimilate the information based your first hand experiences or a thorough 'autopsy' of the Delavan pumps by our electrician and pump specialists. My intention was to inform and instruct the industry how to maintain their own equipment and to likewise minimize downtime. We understand that downtime costs you money. We have customers that lose $10,000 an hour if production ceases. We welcome your calls in the middle of the night. Ask Ron. We do answer the (727) 424-6600 phone number 24 hours a day. Helpful right?

The idea was to learn about what has worked in the past, to teach maintenance and minimize downtime in the future...

Does anyone else agree? Is this an open or closed bb?

The thread contains several posts that were wriiten regarding wonderful compliments about our customer service. We earned those comments. We are proud of our customer service!

Respectfully,

Lori

Lori, I hope you don't think I have an agenda against you or your business in any way. I know you have no idea who I am. I am not a crusader against all that is right or wrong. People answer to their customers and then to their maker, not to me or anyone online. I tried to present my side in a way that wasn't badgering. I know from the other posts about you and your company that you are doing exactly what it takes to become successful. my hope was to make you see that when the shoe is on the other foot (once you guys become a force in the industry) it may not feel so comfortable. I give you kudos for wanting the post back. In fact, for what its worth, I have a high degree of respect for you. Not every post in that thread was complimentary and the fact that you want it re-posted, hopefully in its entirety, speaks volumes about your character. I also run a distribution business and had a long run of nothing but praise for my customer service. I ran into some stuff and ended up being ill prepared, dropped the ball and took a beating. Rather than lobby to have the bad press removed from the internet, ( a prominent consumer site) I chose to keep it there to remind me of a couple things. One is that I am not superman, I make mistakes and have limitations. The second reason is so I never make those mistakes again. I took this entire year off from my distribution (DIY) to get my sh-t together. I ended up losing about $140K in sales because of it.

This internet is a double edged sword. It can take a company from 0-100 overnight and take it down twice as fast. I guess that is a part of my reason for being vocal about your tactics. I still have the same opinion, but I do apologize if it came across as personal.
