Please leave the algae

We washed a house and painted deck for a customer today who ask that we not clean their brick.
Just clean the eaves,soffits and wash the deck because they like the character the algae gives the brick.
This has to be one of the most usual requests by a HO yet,but if they are willing to pay for me to preserve their algae who am I to argue.
I carried their $$$ all the way to the bank.

We had the same thing last year. This was a real high end home, it also had a good sized 4 bedroom 2 story guest house and gardeners house. They had moss, mold THICK on their brick stairs and on a 2 foot high brick foundation on all three buildings. They told me not to take it off and we actually covered the steps with plastic so not to much cleaner would get on the moss. I even showed them were the moss was getting in the mortar of the brick foundation and cracking it. Nope they liked the old southern look it has, they said. Hey whatever the customer wants

I had a similar job last year, they wanted the moss all over the brick wall, gives it an aged look which they like. O Well.
 
We washed a 3mil house last year and tried to upsell the tile roof. They said nope, we like how the dirty tiles make the roof look old along with the vines on the house. Gives it character. After looking at it from that perspective, I kind of agreed. Lol
