Here's couple of pictures of a two tone deck I did back in August.
The Pavillion was sprayed and all of the rest of the deck was done by hand. 2 coats of Cabots Solid Stain white for the rails lattices etc. and 2 coats of Cabots Solid Bluestone stain for the surface.
This job took me 5 full days. 1 day to powerwash and 4 days to stain. Did I mention that it was 95+ degrees which made the deck about 120 degrees. Did not want to do it in that heat but the home owner demanded it because they had a big party planned by the end of the week(Sunday).
They gave me a $200 tip which still didn't make the job worth it.
I averaged $400 day just for the labor and I did this myself. Like I said it was not worth it because of the heat. No breaks except for a 20 minute lunch break each day.
Total time was 48 hrs/5 days which came out to be around $40/hr but I was slowed tremendously because of the heat. And I lost about 10 lbs.
This customer is also very nice which was the main reason I did it under this pressure.
