Nice rig, i see alot of guy's are getting away from the trailers.

That is almost exactly what I want to do this year, get everything off the trailer and onto a flatbed truck so no more taking up all the street in front of their house with my truck and trailer and just back up into the driveway at the end of the day, no more moving things to park a trailer.

What size is the truck?
How long is the bed?
What is the capacity of the bed? 8000pounds? 10,000pounds?
Thanks.

Thanks!

Thanks for the compliments. Here is the specs.

97 Chev 3500 flatbed dually(3500=1 Ton) w/454
12' long bed. Can't remember the width.
2 HydroTek SC3600's
3 Stainless Steel Eagle Reels
Positive Displacement blower/vacuum
Gen

What's nice about using a flatbed now is getting into smaller spaces than with a F-250 ex-cab and a 14' trailer. That felt like a limo compared to this. I'm putting together another flatbed with just a single Landa PW, tank, reels, etc. Thanks for all the compliments!

I would be interesteed to know how that SIrocco system works for you. I Looked at it before I bought my Fury, and was not especially impressed with the craftsmanship. It kind of looked cobbled together to me.

Also, where do you put a surface cleaner?

Maybe they are on the other side of the truck?

Any pictures of the other side?

The surface cleaner sits nicely between the two PW's. Pressure Washer.net's scirroco's vacuum actually works Ok for a smaller vacuum. It sits on a fairly nice frame. The only complaint would be the undersized 9hp engine. On the flip side, I could always put a larger engine on the system which the positive displacement blower could handle. The frame is sturdy and ok and the pump out works ok also. The Fury is nice, but I just couldn't justify spending that much for a piece of equipment I would only use occasionally for the type of work I do, so the scirroco works fine for now. Plus, I would need a 16' flatbed if I bought a Fury. Hope that helps.

The setup looks great, but the Chevy has me concerned for your sanity. And to think you used to have a nice Super Duty. What happened?

Actually.......

I've always been more of a chev guy than a ford guy. The tranny's on fords suck. Not good when your towing a heavy trailer.

BArry, the trick to making a ford last is dont service that C6 tranny. replace them when they go bad.

They haven't had a C6 foryears. 4R100 until 03 and the 5R110 since.
No the secret to amking Ford trannys last is just to run them and not worry about it. Change the fluids with the right tranny fluid at the right times. It worked for my Super Duty that has 180k miles on it. My newer truck is the 5R110 and it has 70k on it without a problem.
