I really hope that if any of this makes it to the public in general they do not associate this with those of us that do this for a living. Giving back to the community to help out in this bad economic time???? Maybe it got him some free advertising for his business, can't fault a guy for that I guess. And to think this whole circus event started from trespassing on gravesite.

One of the wonderful things about this nation is that we have the freedom of expression. If you care to pay for the printing and then can figure out how the heck to delete something in print, then be my guest.

I am proud of this new issue and what it stands for. I'm proud of the numerous stories of people in the industry who are living beyond themselves. I'm proud of what John has done here and that he's pressed on for what he believes in despite the controversies that have stirred up in the process. I'm proud that people have emailed me to tell me they were moved and inspired by this story.

I am also thankful that I am a person who prefers to lift people up rather than tear others down.

And I am also thankful and proud of Ron, who despite the problems that rose between John and himself, encouraged me to go forward with the article full force.
 
Allison what you will learn is everyone has there opinion. We all just have to go with our hearts. John believes he is doing some good. Others believe it's not good. It's what ever each person makes it for themselves. Stand tall and strong, throughout your career there will always be those with you and those ageist you. I'm happy to see you follow thru and not quit.

Hey William I was thinking about giving back to our community but I need you to come along and take lots of pictures of me doing it
 
Hey guys maybe we could find the positives in this.

I do a lot of community service, do I expect publicity for all the things we do? No

Are there intentional things we do for that purpose of course.

Is there anything wrong with helping and wanting people to know your a good person. I don't think so.

My company has open invitation to anyone with a charity event locally to clean it for them free!!!

We through this promote our company in return. Should I feel bad? No

On the other turn do I run around after announcing what we did? I guess I'm proud we did them, we changed someone's life or helped through service.

I'll guess at the end of day it makes me feel good I can.

Thanks Ron. You can't do this for 20 years like I have without receiving some criticism, so I'm really pretty thick skinned. Again, I'm glad we live in a country where we can voice our opinions.

Let me say right now that none of the people in the giving back stories came to me asking for publicity. I went to them. In talking to everyone I've interviewed, I don't believe any of them did the things they did for the publicity. In fact, I practically had to beg a few to let me cover their stories. My hope is to get people thinking of ways to help others and if someone can gain some publicity, what better way to do it than through a kind gesture.

I've gotten a couple of emails on this comment, so let me publically clarify this. I was going to run the story no matter what, but after the issues arose here on the board involving Ron, I wasn't quite sure how to handle the story. Ron called me and rather than badmouthing what was happening between John and himself, he was respectful of John and their disagreement, told me it was a good story and that I should go forward with it full force. That's what I meant by the above comment, not that Ron was the decisionmaker in whether the story made it in or not.

Allison with all respect to you that weak minded people who have nothing better to do than spread assumptions and rumors about my control over this industry. I really wish these people could not hurt something good that you did.

I hope they failed!

Again great job and do not allow these bully's to make them think I have control of you. It's pretty funny because these people have been following me around for years. I wish they would stop!!

Allison, nice article. I think John's gesture was well recieved at the convention. There was a great atmosphere there and the attendance was really strong. There were some solid classes and some needing further development but overall the time was a solid benefit! It would have been nice to have had a few more rigs and vendors though. We headed over to the Gaylord Opryland Hotel as the Wild Horse Saloon was having an event Saturday night. We got a bit of a feel of Nashville. Thanks for the idea.
