Parking In Customer's Driveway

I don't know if this subject has been talked about on here or not and if it has I don't recall it being recently.

I'm curious on how many here actually park in the customer's driveway while doing residential work and why if you do or you don't?

I personally do not for the following reasons. My truck is a little on the heavy side, I don't want to be accused of cracking the concrete because of the weight and leaving tire marks just to name a few.

Unless they have a long driveway, I park at the curb. Easier that way. Just pull up when you arrive and just go when your done. Not having to back in the driveway makes the job easier especially if there's a vehicle already in it.

All depends on the length of driveway for me.....longer driveways I pull in the driveway, shorter ones I stay on the street. With everything thing in the bed of my truck now it's nice having a choice.

Both same as Chad if it a short driveway we park at curb if it a long drive we pull in.

Never, ever block anyone in. Sounds simple, but it never ceases to amaze me how many contractors pull in & just park. Trae has great idea with the tarp. When in doubt, ask.

My hose reels are mounted on the passenger side of my rig for a reason. We park in front of the house on the road and pull our hoses straight out towards the property and go to work on it. We normally ask the customer if they need to get any vehicle's out before we start if we have to block the driveway. In 13 yrs I think there may have been 15-20 times that we have HAD to use a clients driveway and its normally only for distance related reasons or because they live on a narrow busy street.

On track houses never, custom homes never if we can get to them without.

Like Ty new trucks light duty.

Keep in mind all my residential washing is either clients or new construction.
