Did a condo's under ground garage, two sides and could only get my rig down the ramp on one side, took 3 days.

If you have more then one rig all the better but that is what I have at this time.

I did a 3 story deck at a hospital. It was a new construction. I used 3 cold water machines, 2 surface cleaners, and 4 people. I had 2 water tanks on 1 trailer (1000 gal). We started on Friday morning and finished Sunday night around Midnight. Worked just until dark on Fri and Sat, got generator and lights to finish on Sun. Lot was to be stripped on monday at 8 AM. It was a learning experience. If you bid on one leave room for unexpected expenses. I did not plan on surface cleaners but would still be there using wand method.

We just completed cleaning a building floor (30,000 sq.ft.). Used both trucks, 3 men, two surface cleaners, and then a wand sweep & rinse. Working time was about 5 hours. Did part of the walls also. Each unit was running hot 8 gpm or more.

We did a 100,000 sq.ft. building several months ago. Had to pick up all of the water. Rented a Tennent scrubber to pick up the water. Used wands for most of it. Both trucks, 4 men, 4 days. Estimate that we used well over 12,000 gallons of water!

GARAGE CLEANING

THANKS GUYS FOR THAT INFORMATION. I'M PREPARING A BID FOR A SEVEN FLOOR HOSPITAL GARAGE AND WANTED TO PICK UP ON SOME LESSONS LEARNED FROM CLEANING GARAGES. BETWEEN BEING ON ACTIVE DUTY AND DOING PRESSURE CLEANING I HAVE TO MANAGE MY TIME DOWN TO THE SECOND. HOPEFULLY I'LL GET A CHANCE TO MEET SOME OF YOU GUYS AT A CONFERANCE ONE DAY. :)

DAVID OLSON,

ALL I WONT TO KNOW ON THE 100,000 SQFT , A'IM I HIGH OR LOW AT .09CENTS A SQ FT. ON THAT JOB.

OK DONT TELL ME YET! THIS IS WHAT I WOULD DO $45 PER HR PER MAN PLUS $45 FOR ME PLUS $45 FOR THE EQUIPMENT, PLUS .025CENTS FOR EQUIPMENT RENTAL = .11 CENTS PER SQ FT.

BUT DAVID 12,OOO GALLONS OF WATER TO DO THE JOB. THAY IS 3,OOO PER DAY, 10 HR DAY THAT IS ONLY 300 GPM PER HR. FOR 2 WASHERS AT 8 GPM.

YOU DID SAY WELL OVER 12,000 GALLONS , MAYBE 24,000 SOUNDS MORE LIKE IT! :)

MEL R.

Hello Mel R,

We were not running our equipment 10 hours per day. I paid my guys 37 hours. We had alot of idle time waiting for water to be hauled, set up time, travel time, other trades in the way, safety meetings, etc.

Remember we had to pick up and haul the water to the edge of the building and the Tennant only had a 75 gallon tank. Six trips per hour was really moving!

6 trips x 75 = 450 gallons x 7 hours per day = 3150 gallons per day x 4 days = 12,600 gallons.

The cost of the scrubber was over $1,200. Don't like to talk revenue for jobs here, but I think we were well paid for the job! :)

Mellow,

Do us all a favor and try not to use all CAPITAL letters. It is harder to read, and some people consider it "yelling".

If typing is not one of your best skills, free free to type in all lower case rather then all upper.

Have a great day!
