i generally am not a big fan of having your name in your business (unless you are in a small town and have recognition, or you are wanting to give that mom and pop feel) but you are the exception. I think you have a great last name for a business, and the thing is, i don't think people will realize it is your name until they talk to you and you introduce yourself as morgan Paradise. It would really stick in their head. i think you should go with a 'beach and palm tree' look. I personally think that would be awesome. I am not creative in that way so i dont really have any suggestions, but i think advertising along those lines would be killer. Do you just service a small town or do you work mainly in Collierville and Gtown?? Good luck,

Jon I actually live in Fayette County which is the next county over from Shelby County and yes you are right. My Great Grandfather use to own a saw mill and whenever I run up on someone that has been in Fayette County all their lives and are older I get asked if I was any relation to the Paradise man that had the saw mill. He has been dead over 40 yrs. and is still remembered. I work mostly in Fayette County however I have worked in Shelby County also. I actually work where I can find work you know what I mean. :)

I went to do a quote for a guy in Germantown and when I arrived (I wear a name tag like the police department when I do quotes that way they see my name everytime they look at me) the guy said wow I was curious about your company name but never realized it was actually your name. I just laugh and keep on working. :D

I think he picked out a pretty good one to rem'ber.

If they can remember a sawmill by that the pair of dice will be easy remembered over palm tree.......Paradise with palm is something most think about but not remember.......Paradise with God is hea'ven.........A pair of dices is easier to remember b/c most will see neither Paradise.

I think by adding some color in the one you have,it would make alot of differents.
Maybe the name should have 3 colors,like a shadow with a glow.
Maybe a red and white dice.
Maybe the dice should be turned in a tum,ble.
maybe ????????,who knows maybe the palms have dice hang or floating out to sea.
 
Okay, all this dice hanging over palm trees and floating out to sea business is getting a bit psychotic. I think that the most effective logos are the ones that are kept clean and simple.
You don't want people to see your logo and think,"what the hell kind of a business are they running!?"
It would be best to stick with one idea or the other. Combining the both could be hazardous. Too bad the name isn't spelled Paradice instead.
Here's the dice logo with red lettering. Still haven't had time to draw up any palm trees yet though, it's been a busy day.
