HI, all new to this forumn and new to the business really. I worked for a company and cleaned Wendys hamburg chain and the hood, and most of them were painted. As you can expect would add the chemical and it would blister up and paint would come off and then they would repaint or just leave it. What is the best way to clean them? I am going to get the training and be responsible, but so much to learn. I found a site that you can be certifed for 550, they give you a manual you take the test and you become certified.

Painted hoods are easy to clean .. Even though alot of restaurants around here dont have them anymore.. I use Purple Power Degreaser diluted , I charge extra, because of the extra chemical cost and if the paint starts flaking off I just tell them that they will probably get a code violation from the health dept and it would be best for me to remove all the paint from the inside of the hood then I bump up the price a little for my extra time .. I made 750.00 to clean the paint off of a 12 foot hood one time .. It took about 6 hours..

I only know of 3 painted hoods :crazy_pilot:
