Merry X mas to myself! We decided to get rid of the majority of our Flatbed trucks and switch over to trucks and trailers. Ron was right again! haha

We traded in 3 of our flatbeds and got 5 new trucks! So we have all Chevy Fleet now with the exception of 1 dodge 3500 cummins diesel. Too nice of a flatbed to let go. One of our guys already put a dent in the right side of our 2013 with less than 700 miles on the engine!! So he is fired. But other than that the fleet looks SWEET!
We built 5 small trailers and have 3 trucks to pull them. We have a Colorado for my foreman and back up truck if needed. Also, 2 flatbeds left in the fleet. The Chevy Isuzu has dual units on it for larger jobs.

Its crazy less than 4 years ago I was an owner operator and now I employee 15 people including myself and business partner and not to mention 5 or 6 subs. Gotta love the power washing business!

Check it out:

BulletProofing your rig

Good Job TY !

Do you add "rustproofing" to your rigs ??

..or add grease to the electrical terminals for corrosion resistance ??
.. change hitch hardware to grade 8 ??

I always upgrade battery terminal hardware to stainless steel,
.. and they also gets sprayed with.. battery terminal protector.

As far as I'm concerned..
you're NOT ready for "the daily race" unless you're "Bullet-proofed".
.. .. That's why I build what I build, and teach what I teach.

Ty, what were the problems w the flat beds?

HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL! Doug, my main issues were I had no real need for such large trucks. Paying a lot for diesel fuel and low mpg big gasser trucks. Also, parts were becoming a pain to find, and lots of stuff was mysteriously flying off my flatbeds. But the MAIN issue was if the truck went down so did my power washers that were on the truck. This way, a truck goes down and I still have a trailer to pull with another truck. Not to mention majority of my flatbeds did not fit in Garages!! Very frustrating when you do come across a parking garage quote. I am not knocking flatbeds they did me great for a long time. But it is all a matter of opinion and how your company is set up. We have decided to move away from just trying to do EVERYTHING and focus mainly on flatwork, sweeping, and building washing. I really do not need big trucks for any of that type of work.

Great crew seeing the guy with the tats just reminded me i need to get back in the gym is that the bill collector??Great work expanding so fast good luck in the new year.

Is the guy with the tats actually Darrell from Storage Wars?! If not I apologise, can't see the pic very big on my phone....

HAHA NO! The guy with the tattoos is my sales guy. He is awesome at sales, people sign up right away! Wouldn't you? haha

He usually covers up his tattoos with shirts before he presents for the company. He is a great guy. Real team player. He is 52 years old and is built like he is 22! In fact every member of my company is older then me and my business partner. We were both born in 1984 when Ron started his company! But I feel like I have an old soul or something because for the past 5 years I have just been focused with business and business minded people. While all my friends were going out to clubs and bars I was at home working or pressure washing. I am hoping it pays off in the long run so I can retire while they are still working and make up for all the fun lost.
