I hope You are kidding. We have spent about $15K for this setup and now starting bid is just HALF of that, with <30 hours on all the equipment.

We are not pressured to make a sale and asking price WILL NOT go down a cent more.

Happy New Year!

I don't think your missing anything. People think USED equipment is worth more than it really is. my .02

Around here van like this (age and condition-wise, with rubberized floor) plus the PW unit alone would be around what I am asking. Now, add the tank, plumbing, spinner and all the listed equipment plus the time to put it together...

I am being told that the price is a bargain, it's just not the right time to sell it. On the other hand, bigger companies seek tax breaks by purchasing equipment and supplies before end of the year.

I wish you well with the sale, but being realistic, your complete set-up is probably worth around $4500 - max - and that would be in March. For me, I would never buy a 7 year old van from Wisconsin (used to live there) when I can buy the same van here in VA for $2K or less. Many of us in the real world find it too easy to see the flaws in your set-up. Not having hot water is a problem, so is 27 minutes of water. 8 gpm is great for flatwork, but not having hot water is a problem. Any chance you could return the pw and trade for something with heat?

Not trying to beat you up, just being realistic. As I recall, you have been trying to sell this set-up for quite some time. You may be better off parting it out.

Hmm... thanks for good words.

But...

What's wrong with van from WI? There is ZERO rust, it's perfectly maintained, looks and drives better than some vans with <50K miles. Don't judge it without seeing it

$4500? Even if You say $2K for the van, how in the world would You squeeze PW (that we paid about $4K for, and this unit has about 25 hours), rubberized floor, tank with plumbing, spinner, extension wand, X-jet, and ton of other stuff in another $2,5K? And then spend all the time to put it together?

And hot water? I am sure it would be great to have a burner but 90% of business here (except for gas stations) is serviced with cold water units. If one wants to get into that niche, burner add-on shouldn't be a problem.

I know it's good to buy stuff at bargain prices, but c'mon... be real. I am not that desperate.

What am I missing? Why so much? Vans are a dime a dozen and under 2,000.00 here

Don't get mad just curious that I may be missing something

Dave we should pick up a couple and sell them on ebay.

My buddy does it with Toyota truck, buys them from sellers and list on ebay. has not lost money on one so far. average of a 500 profit and hes not even buying wholesale.

ebay is crazy

There are very few good deals on ebay anymore. It went from a garage sale on the internet to a wholesale outlet for merchandisers in the last three years.
It is a great market front for wholesaleers who can advertize with almost no overhead ( wharehouse, insurance and advertising)

Tom,

I'm truly glad you were able to find a buyer, and I hope you were both happy with the price.

Yeah, we have had a great time dealing together. It's the buyer's 4th or 5th rig so he knows his stuff. I am happy I have it off my hands and I think he's happy too :D
