What Are The Osha Requirements For Working In Confined Space?
The Codes Seem To Recommend Cleaning By Entering The Duct Which In My Opinion Is Confined Space. There Is Some General Info About Permits And A Spotter. Any Specifics? Also I Think Working In Confined Space Is Putting Your Head And Arm And Shoulder In The Duct. Thats All You Need To Be Considered Working In Confined Space.

My scraper, pole, hoses and tools might need a confined space permit......possibly my arms up to my shoulders. You'll never find me inside of a duct though.....something about weight restrictions on metal welds.:)

Good point, the codes talk about personnell entry duct but was the duct designed to hold the weight of a person along with the grease.
