Now down to business

Well, Last Thursday I went around with Ron to restaurants. By Tuesday I already had two small (very small) restaurant accounts to start out on. BUT I didn't even have a surface cleaner yet! :(

Ron told me to buy a cheap surface cleaner just in case it didn't work out. (OH YE OF LITTLE FAITH!!!)

After annoying Ron and Scott with questions about surface cleaners I came across this puppy at a local fixit shop. They had replaced the swivel ($480!!)and the guy couldn't pay so he put it on consignment. I tried to get it for 480, but finally got it for $700.00. And they threw in about 8 gallons of a bunch of different chems (about $100.00);)

BTW, the local Landa dealer was going to give me a "smokin deal" at $1500.00plus tax for a new one.

So later tonight (actually early in the am) I'm going to go out to some of the shopping centers and restaurants I already have for filter customers and will leave them a stripe of love:eek: , then I'll call them and offer to finish the job for free with a maintenance contract. :D

This will give me a chance to practice and take my time.

Thanks Ron, you are the king of salesmanship.

Thank you Scott, you are the king of patience and a fountain of knowledge. (I'm surprised that a guy driving such a fancy truck can have so much practical knowledge.):p

I'm a jump in and hope like hell that the water isn't over my chin kind of guy too. In my opinion some guys over analyze and try to have everything figured before they go forward. That's probably the text book way to do things and maybe the correct way, but going forward and figuring it out as you go works for me. You can't be successful at anything if you are too afraid to fail.
